At the beginning of January, the tabloid newspaper Bild published a selective list of German companies represented in Russia, which, "despite the bloody Russian strikes on Ukraine, continue to vigorously sell their goods and services" and "actively pump money into Russia's military coffers by paying taxes":
"The publication names, in particular, the manufacturers of sweets Storck (brands Merci, Toffifee, Mamba) and Ritter Sport. This company continues to supply the Russian market with its square chocolates, but promised to donate the profits from this business. However, as the newspaper reported, "it remains unclear whether the proceeds were really donated and for whose benefit. Ritter Sport has not yet responded to Bild's request."
