"ANNOUNCES INTENTIONS TO LEAVE RUSSIA
In light of recent developments, including increased operational complexity and uncertainty, Legrand has decided to exit its Russian operations and is currently considering options for a timely and orderly transfer of control.
Legrand's operations in Russia accounted for approximately 1.5% of full-year sales in 2022. As of December 31, 2022, the Group's balance sheet exposure in Russia, including foreign exchange reserves, was approximately €200 million, of which approximately €150 million will be reflected in the 2022 consolidated financial statements as asset impairment, which will not affect the Group's adjusted operating profit.
Legrand believes this shutdown is the best option to ensure continued compliance with all laws and regulations, as well as long-term continuity of local operations for its employees and customers.”
